Christmas Comparison!

I just thought it would be funny to see both boys spend their first Christmas in the same Santa outfit!

This is Cruz's first Christmas.  December 25, 2007

This is Jett's first Christmas.  December 25, 2010

You don't realize how much they look alike until you see pics like this!  Love it!  Seems like yesterday that I bought the silly outfit and now I'm packing it up for the last time:(

Merry Christmas everyone!  Kiss and hug your babies tight today!!!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandma and Papa Campbell's house.  It is Garrett's 31st year to celebrate Christmas Eve with them at the same house, same day and time every year!  Pretty cool stuff!  The boys both opened gifts and we chowed down on BBQ sandwiches, chips, dips, and baked beans!  Yummo!

Christmas morning we woke up to find that Santa had visited!  Cruz was thrilled to see that Santa had read his letter and delivered his Salty train set, pillow pet, and lots of trucks and toys!

After the boys made a tornado in my living room, we got dressed and went over to Gammy and Papa's house for breakfast and more presents!

Then we packed up and headed to the Blackburn's brand new home!  They just moved in this week so we were so thrilled to get to celebrate Christmas there!  All the kiddos were dying to open gifts (they had only been opening for 2 days!:)  Anyhow, we opened and then set down to eat chili, cornbread, pie, and Mimi's famous banana pudding.

I feel so blessed that we have such a wonderful family to get to spend this Christmas with!

Advent Wrap Up

Cruz's class had a Christmas Party last week.  All of the kids (except Cruz and Brodie) sang and danced to Christmas songs for the parents!  Guess they just weren't in the mood:)!  Anyhow, they had lots of treats and goodies and all the kids exchanged coloring books with one another!

We ended up going snow tubing again!!!  This time we met up with Brodie and his Mommy and Grandpa!  Once again, Cruz had a blast!  He and B went up and down until they shut the slide down!

Cruz and I made breakfast for Daddy and Jett.  He cracked, scrambled and helped Mommy cook the eggs!  I think he may be a little chef in the making!!!  We ate breakfast together and played our new Kerplunk game all morning!!!

And Christmas Eve we baked cookies to leave out for Santa!  Cruz thought that Santa might like chocolate chip but I know Santa pretty well and i know that he loves him some sugar cookies.  We compromised and made both!!!  Santa was happy!

Advent Part 3

Here are a few more of the "funs" we've been having!!!

Garrett and Cruz went to a Thunder game

We made a string of popcorn for our tree

The boys had "pajama day" at school

We watched the new VegeTales Christmas movie

We went down to Snow Tube at the Bricktown ballpark

We were a bit early so we took Cruz over to Bass Pro to pass the time.  Come to find out, they have a huge kid zone area where they can play and "test" out all the new toys!!!  So much fun!

Just thought we'd give Nana a taste of what we would like for out at the farm!

Then we saw Santa on our way into the ballpark!  He gave us Sonic mints (that I think he highjacked from the Sonic location across the street!)  It was really sweet anyway!:)

OK, CC loved this!  He wanted to go down 100 times but after about 22 they shut it down for the next group!  We had a ball!  I'm sure we will have to go back before they shut down for the season!!!

Tonight we made candy bags for Cruz's class party!

Now if we can just keep Mommy's hands out of them until Wednesday, we will be doing great!!!:)))
